Faith Voyagers LLC ("Faith Voyagers," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our faith-based educational application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our website and mobile application.

We understand the importance of protecting children's privacy online. Faith Voyagers is designed for children ages 3-11 and is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

From Parents/Guardians:

  • Account information: name, email address, password
  • Billing information: payment method, billing address
  • Communication preferences

From Children (with parental consent):

  • First name only (no last names)
  • Age or grade level
  • Learning progress and activity within the app
  • Avatar or profile customizations (no photos)

Automatically Collected:

  • Device information (type, operating system)
  • App usage data (lessons completed, time spent)
  • Error logs and performance data

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain our educational services
  • Personalize learning experiences for each child

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

We take children's privacy seriously. Under COPPA, we:

  • Require verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information from children under 13
  • Collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our service
  • Never require children to disclose more information than reasonably necessary
  • Allow parents to review, modify, or delete their child's information at any time
  • Never share children's personal information with third parties for marketing purposes
  • Do not allow children to publicly share personal information

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Trusted partners who help us operate our service (payment processing, hosting), bound by confidentiality agreements
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, with notice to users

We never share children's data with advertisers or marketing companies.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.

Retention Periods:

  • Active Accounts: We retain your data while your account is active and you continue to use our services
  • Cancelled Subscriptions: Account data is retained for 30 days after cancellation to allow for reactivation, then deleted
  • Child Profiles: Deleted within 30 days when a parent removes a child profile or closes their account
  • Inactive Accounts: Accounts with no activity for 24 months may be deleted after notification
  • Payment Records: Transaction records are retained for 7 years as required for tax and legal compliance
  • Support Communications: Retained for 3 years to improve service quality

Data Deletion:

When data is deleted, we remove it from our active systems. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before being automatically purged. You can request immediate deletion of your data by contacting privacy@faithvoyagers.com.

Payment Data (Stripe)

We use Stripe, Inc. as our payment processor. When you make a purchase or subscribe to Faith Voyagers, your payment information is handled as follows:

What Stripe Collects:

  • Credit/debit card number, expiration date, and CVV
  • Billing name and address
  • Device and browser information for fraud prevention

What We Store:

  • Last four digits of your card (for your reference)
  • Card type and expiration date
  • Billing address
  • Transaction history and receipts

Important:

  • We never store or have access to your full card number or CVV
  • All payment data is encrypted and transmitted directly to Stripe
  • Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified, the highest level of payment security
  • Stripe may use your data as described in their Privacy Policy

Your Rights

Parents and guardians have the right to:

  • Access all personal information we have about you and your children
  • Correct or update inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Withdraw consent for data collection
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses essential cookies for functionality (login sessions, preferences). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking on the children's app.

On our parent website, we may use analytics to improve our service. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

California residents can submit requests by emailing privacy@faithvoyagers.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within 45 days.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information: Faith Voyagers does not sell personal information to third parties. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.

International Users

Faith Voyagers is based in the United States and our services are primarily designed for users in the United States.

Data Storage:

All personal information is stored and processed in the United States. By using our Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
